![]() The Terre Haute Police Department is investigating a robbery after a woman was hospitalized for injuries allegedly suffered during an attack by several suspects near Benjamin Franklin Elementary School on North 19th Street early this morning. Officers were dispatched the area of North 14th Street and Third Avenue regarding a robbery around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a a female victim who said she had been attacked and battered by five unknown black males near the school, Chief of Police Shawn Keen explained. "The victim indicated she had been rendered unconscious and when she woke found money missing from her purse," Keen said. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of pain to her neck and right side. The case is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Terre Haute Police Department. Comments are closed.
