Four men are facing serious criminal charges following a multi-agency investigation into illegal firearms and drug sales, including deals made with an undercover officer, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.
David Jefferies, 34, James Womack, 33, and Shelton Payne, 34, are all charged with illegal possession of a firearm and drug trafficking offenses. All three men are convicted felons and legally prohibited from owning firearms. A fourth man, Andre Ellis-Barnes, 41, is facing charges for selling controlled substances to an undercover officer.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Jefferies’ residence, where they reportedly found:
-
A Glock 9mm handgun
-
Approximately 382 grams of fentanyl and black tar heroin
The investigation was led by the Office of the Attorney General, with assistance from the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force and police departments in North Huntingdon, Monessen, Rostraver, New Kensington, and Irwin.
The case will be prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Tomm Mutschler.
